My family has a crystal factory back in Hawai'i, and when I was small, my grandparents would drop me off there after school...all the crystal ladies were my informal babysitters. The gallery has changed a lot over the last 15 years, but I make it a point to visit at least once on every trip home.

I like the upstairs room the best, where all you see, wherever you turn, is shiny, shiny sparkle. So pleasing to the eye!

Fairytale figurines are the focus...some big, and...

...some small.

Loose pieces were sometimes accidentally dropped in the assembly room, and those pieces were mine to keep if I found them at the end of the day. So now I have a big box (slowly accumulated since 2nd grade) of tiny chipped and broken pieces...but they still shine! ^_^
